An unmissable spot between the Alsace and Lorraine valleys.

Quantity 1,00 € In stock.

This four-page document describes two walks.

- Schlucht Tour: Duration: 45 min - Distance: 500 m - Elevation gain: +20 m

- Schlucht/Belvédère de la Petite Fecht: Duration: 1 hour 15 min - Distance: 1 km - Elevation gain: +80 m

Peaking at 1,139 metres, the Schlucht can be found in the heart of the Ballons des Vosges Regional Nature Park, in-between the towns of Valtin and Stosswihr.  A crossing point between the Lorraine and Alsace valleys, the pass is located along the Route des Crêtes (Road of the Ridges). It is a gateway to the heritage of the Hautes-Vosges, but also to the history of the 20th century. To find out more, visit the ‘Tétras 1139’ (free admission).

IN WINTER, SOME TRAILS ARE INACCESSIBLE.

If the first difficulties give you pause, turn back. There are plenty of other beautiful trails. Do not set off without walking shoes and appropriate clothing. Beware of storms. Please note that the ridge is windswept.

Take on a quiet attitude to preserve wildlife.

You are in a National Nature Reserve, so please respect the specific regulations. Respect nature’s silence. Dogs are not allowed, even leashed. Visits are preferably done in the daytime. Do not leave your rubbish behind.
